If you shoot your thumb with a nail should you leave it in or take it out?

I was at a friends house and this dude was fixing the couch and he stapled or nailed his thumb right in the middle. We all had a lively debate about should we take ot out and go to the emergency room or leave it in.If you shoot your thumb with a nail should you leave it in or take it out?
Well, if you go to the ER, they will take it out for you. They will probably use local anesthetic. It could hurt a little if you do it yourself. If you don't have health insurance, it could hurt you wallet. If you shoot your thumb with a nail should you leave it in or take it out?
leave it there and wait a few days
Usually, you should leave it in, preferably stabilizing it by wrapping something around it - that way you don't risk causing further damage to yourself - especially if the staple/nail was serrated.
first put neospirin on it or some kind of medicine and then cover it up but when you take a bath wash it
leave in, and go to hospital
i'd run to the ER where a doctor will remove it.
you need a pair of any kind of pliers and a rag. Roll up the rag and put it in your mouth. then take the pliers and grip the nail. then close your eyes and scream as you pull the nail out. then apply neosporin, iodine, mecurichrome or any other antiseptic. This is how we do it on the job.
You should definitely not take it out ... especially if it was a nail instead of a staple.

You should go to the ER and they should remove it.

ASAP!

C
Go directly to emergency hospital with the staple intact and have a good day.
call 911
You're not smart are you go to the emergency room immediatly if you take it out it quite possibly will get infected GO NOW

BUNNY!!
Go straight to hospital. Don't remove it. Get a doc to do it and you'll get tetanus jabs there too.
