i think anything on a fake nail besides a french looks terrible. It looks like an old lady or like eek gross i dont like it. Yes, you can use nail polish remover without damaging the fake nail just dont soak your nail in it cause then it will go under the fake nail and loosen the glue. Just keep the french, it looks the best.
I do think it will look tacky, and yes it damages the nail it makes look non-shiny.
Yes you can. I have several clients that will put a coat of nail polish on to save a week on getting a fill done. Don't use a lot of polish remover or it will remove some of the acrylic.
