Is it crazy to open a nail salon with the way this economy is?

I have a feeling that when it comes to health and beauty women will still find a way to pay for these things. Am I wrong? Any advice? Is it crazy to open a nail salon with the way this economy is?
It depends on where you are, but in general, yes it would be crazy to open a business right now whose customers perceive the service or product as non-necessary discretionary spending. The exceptions are the very top of the market (you'll be going to their house for salon services), and the very bottom of the market (salon in a mall for $10 per person - cheap entertainment, cheaper than the movies). Is it crazy to open a nail salon with the way this economy is?
It is not advisable, but if you have the funds and really want to do it, go for it.
yes because salons dont make alot of money
Instead of simply tossing the idea around in your head, get some hard numbers on paper and see how you feel at that point. Take a look at the link below, the article gives tips on taxation, license %26amp; permits and most importantly how to get a free business mentor.
