I just got some nail polish which said it needed to have clear nail polsh on top?

I got some new nail polish, in the instructions it said you need to use clear nail polish on top of it to protect it, but I don;t have any clear nail polish!? Would it be fine if I just didn't use clear nail polish??I just got some nail polish which said it needed to have clear nail polsh on top?
They say that so that you'll buy their brand of topcoat (the clear nail polish that goes on top) and therefore make more money. I find that when I do use topcoat, that my nail polish chips MORE, except when I go get a manicure...that always seems to last longer and look better than when I do it no matter what.I just got some nail polish which said it needed to have clear nail polsh on top?
It will be fine generally if it says to use clear nail polish its just a recommendation. They generally just say that so it will protect the coat so it does not chip as soon. But its fine.
of course u dont need it. its just like a recommendation so it stays on longer. itll be just fine without the clear polish on top
you dont NEED it .. its just stays on longer.. if you have it thats all
it just prob wont be shiny
