Its it okay to put nail polish remover on the mouth area?

I heard nail polish remover get rid of cold sores but Im afraid to try it b/c the cold sores are right on the corners of my mouth %26amp; is it okay if i get some inside my mouth??Its it okay to put nail polish remover on the mouth area?
I wouldn't risk it - the mouth is one of the most sensitive areas, and you have cold sores already (hyper sensitive to reacting badly) - besides that you don't want to smell that stuff so close.

I guess ask yourself if you'd like to try and risk more irritation and redness, and possible embarrassment - or just try an over the counter remedy which actually will work, and will not harm your skin...Its it okay to put nail polish remover on the mouth area?
DO NOT do this! Nail polish remover will not anything for a cold sore, is not safe to get in your mouth, and is some crazy idea that someone obviously told you. Don't do it.

The best thing for cold sores is Carmex. Used several times a day, it should clear up very fast. Second best thing is Campho-Phenique, which can be purchased at any drug store.

Don't believe everything people tell you.
I for one think that would be a bad idea..

could you imagine the burrrn?

sounds to me like it would just make it worse..

get some abreeva or whatever for cold sores.
